The Suunto G9 is a wristop computer
equipped with internal programming features and Global Positioning System (GPS)
capabilities that allow golfers to instantly and accurately measure individual
shot distances, track club selections and scores, and store additional input
gained on the golf course, all from a compact and convenient platform. All shot
measurements and on-course data can be easily downloaded from the Suunto G9 to a
home computer for ongoing analysis and learning benefits for players of all
abilities.
The Suunto G9 computer comes complete with a portable battery charger and Golf
Manager CD software, allowing speedy data transfer to and from the instrument.
The Suunto G9 also features a "Dual Golf Bag" function, allowing the golfer to
input and manage distance data for two distinct sets of golf clubs.

Additional features of the Suunto G9 include a watch, barometer, thermometer,
altimeter and 3D digital compass.
The GPS technology of the Suunto G9 is state-of-the-art and can integrate with
the vectoring of a golf course to provide the golfer valuable distance and
playability information. The vectoring data of a golf course can be inputted to
the Suunto G9 in a variety of fashions: through the golf course computer system;
through data links on the worldwide web; or from on-site manual vectoring -- an
especially useful function at a home course or instructional facility that
hasn't yet been vectored.
The Suunto G9 is the second in the "Suunto Series 9" of sports instruments. The
Suunto M9, created for the sailing industry, was launched in connection with the
commencement of the prestigious Volvo Ocean Race.
