The Gaza Strip (قطاع غزة‎ Qiṭāʿ Ġazza/Qita' Ghazzah, ) lies on the Eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

It borders Egypt on the southwest and Israel on the south, east and north. It is about 41 km (25 miles) long, and between 6 - 12 km (4 - 7.5 miles) wide
