Visitors to the Arnos Vale Hotel are not bombarded with the entrapments of high volume tourist destinations, instead they are treated to an entire island of natural treasures and peaceful people. Tobago is overlooked by mass tourism and is itself a secluded resort.

In the evenings savour the flavours of and exotic cuisine prepared with fresh produce from the gardens and the bounty of the sea while entertainers delight you with a wide variety of sounds.

The Arnos Vale Hotel is essentially a small, quiet hotel in a hilly setting ( may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties ) appealing to those guests looking for rest, relaxation and serenity.

The Arnos Vale Hotel is very close to nature and we intend to keep things this way. Although we do provide occasional nightly entertainment you will surely understand that we have to respect the "beauty sleep" of our winged friends, therefore one should not expect the usual all inclusive non-stop party that so many other destinations offer. However, local entertainment - such as steel band, calypso or folk ballads - are offered to our guests during the season.

As the Arnos Vale Hotel is built on a 450 acre sugar plantation, the hotel has retained the charm and grace of a bygone era, whilst offering you all the facilities and comforts of an upscale resort. The old Plantation House is where you find the reception, restaurant, bar and lounge.

Savour the flavours of exotic cuisine prepared with fresh produce from the gardens and the bounty of the sea in our restaurant or relax to tropical concoctions, expertly prepared by our bartenders.

The Plantation House comes alive every evening at 5pm, when throughout the unique afternoon tea service, numerous tropical birds join you to be fed by hand. This special bird watching ceremony is well known by birdwatchers all over the world.

Brown Pelican, Brown Booby, Magnificent Frigatebird, Great Egret, Little Blue Heron, Green Heron, Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, Merlin,
Rufous-vented Chachalaca ("Cocrico."), Whimbrel, Least and Spotted Sandpipers, Ruddy Turnstone, Laughing Gull, Common and Royal Terns, Eared and White-tipped Doves, Ruddy Ground-Dove, Pale-vented Pigeon, Green-rumped Parrotlet, Orange-winged Parrot, Black-throated Mango, Copper-rumped Hummingbird, Blue-crowned Motmot,
Belted Kingfisher, Rufous-tailed Jacamar, Red-crowned Woodpecker,
Olivaceous and Buff-throated Woodcreepers, White-fringed Antwren, Great Antshrike, Yellow-bellied Elaenia, Yellow-breasted Flycatcher,
Tropical and Gray Kingbirds, Bare-eyed Thrush, Tropical Mockingbird, Northern Waterthrush, Bananaquit, Blue-gray, Palm, and White-lined Tanagers, Black-faced Grassquit.

These birds are found in the immediate area of the hotel. To discover more, all you have to do is walk one of the many trails of the estate, a tropical "Alice in Wonderland."
