Cowes is a seaport town on the Isle of Wight, renowned for sailing.

It is home to the world famous Royal Yacht Squadron, one of the world's elite yacht clubs.

Cowes hosts the world's oldest regular regatta, Cowes Week, in the first week of August. During the summer, powerboat races are held.
