Ventnor is a seaside resort established in the Victorian era on the south coast of the Isle of Wight, off the southern coast of England.
The sandy beach is still very popular, although it is much smaller than other comparable tourist beaches at nearby Sandown and Shanklin.
One of the attractions of the town is Ventnor Botanic Garden, which has a
variety of tropical plants due to Ventnor's subtropical microclimate.
