Ramsgate is a seaside town located in East Kent, with a population of
approximately 40,000. The town is connected to the national road network through
the A299, then onto the M2-A2 for the M25 and London. Ramsgate is served by a
railway station- trains run to London Charing Cross and London Victoria in just
under 2 hours but the time will be reduced by the high-speed commuter service
which is expected to start in 2009.
