Preston is located right at the heart of North West England. It is an ancient place, receiving its a Charter in 1179 - with its historic Preston Guild celebrated every 20 years with the last celebration in 1992. Preston has a strong economic and retail base. Its location as an attractive place to live, work and invest has seen major expansion.
Culturally, Preston has much to be proud about including - the Grade I listed Harris Museum and Art Gallery, Preston Guild Hall, Museum of Lancashire, the County Records Office and Library, splendid Victorian Parks & Gardens, as well as the National Football Museum - home to FIFA, the World Football Authority's, historic collection.
