Boston is located close to the south-east coast of Lincolnshire, approximately 120 miles north of London.

The town has a population of about 35,000. The Tourist Information Centre is centrally located in the Market Place beneath the Assembly Rooms.

Boston is less than two hours from London by road and rail links from the town connect into the main East Coast lines at Grantham. Major road links via the A16 (Grimsby, Peterborough), A17 (Kings Lynn, Newark), A52 (Nottingham, the Midlands). The A1/M1 motorway is within easy reach.
