Roads

There are three major roads into Kingston, all visibly sign posted from the M25 and A3, leading to the south, north and middle of the borough. Kingston town centre is 12 miles from Central London and only 8 miles from London’s orbital motorway. Follow junction 10 the M25 for the A3 and then follow signs for Kingston. If you are heading to Chessington, take Junction 9 of the M25.

Trains

There are direct trains to London Waterloo (via Wimbledon) leaving Kingston train station every 15 minutes from platform 3. From platform 2 there are direct trains to Shepperton and London Waterloo (via Richmond).  Nearby train stations, within walking distance of Kingston are Hampton Wick and Norbiton. There are fast trains to London Waterloo from Surbiton train station, which take approximately 15 minutes. Surbiton station is a short bus ride away from Kingston town centre.

Buses

There are several bus stations and stops serving bus routes to Chessington, Clapham Park, Richmond, West Molesey, Kingston Hospital, Tolworth, Epsom, Dorking, New Malden, Hook, Esher, Mansfield Park, Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3, Chertsey, Sutton, Staines, to name a few. Taxis

There is a marshalled taxi rank located outside Oceana nightclub on Clarence Street every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10.30pm - 3.30am. There are also marshalled minicab booking kiosks in the Kingston train station Forecourt (to the left of the train station), St James' Road (Hippodrome nightclub) and at the junction of Clarence Street and Thames Street (near John Lewis) every evening from 10.30pm - 5.30am.

Cruises

Turk Launches is a 300 year old river boat company that offers Thames river cruises along one of the most beautiful waterways in South West London. They run up to 45 river trips run daily from April to early October, cruising between Richmond, Kingston and Hampton Court, along one the most beautiful stretches of the Thames in South West London. Historical landmarks merge with bustling riversides along this scenic route; Hampton Court Palace and its gardens, Thames Ditton Island, Kingston's cosmopolitan waterfront, Teddington Lock, Eel Pie Island and Richmond Hill. Accommodation

If you are visiting Kingston overnight, there are several places to stay depending on your budget and how near to the town centre you want to be. There are two Travelodge hotels, both ideally located less than 5 minutes walk from Kingston train station and major bus routes to Heathrow Airport terminals 1, 2, 3 and many other locations. The first is located in Wheatfield Way and the other behind Oceana nightclub, next to Wilkinsons on Old London Road. For a more luxurious stay, the Antoinette Hotel is a 5 minute drive from Kingston town centre, but offers over one hundred en-suite rooms, secure car parking for 100 cars, landscaped gardens and eight versatile function rooms.
