Toko started about 25 years ago, on a costermonger stall in the Ealing Broadway
shopping centre. In those days it was called Japac Designs, and specialized in
handmade jewellery and handcrafted ceramics. Within a few years, the jewellery
side of the business really began to take off following the discovery that
beautiful hand-made silver jewellery was to be found in all parts of the world,
made by specialist craftsmen and women. In particular, in those days, Bali in
Indonesia was the company's main source of inspiration and so a new name was
selected for the business. Toko means 'shop' in Indonesian. Toko still
specializes in handcrafted silver jewellery. Sourced now from many parts of the
world, the owners bring together elegant collections that feature amber,
semi-precious stones, pearls, shells and the sophisticated Italian look of cz
and crystals. In their stores and on their website are well designed gifts for
all occasions, fashionable and classic jewellery at affordable prices. Toko
Jewellers is situated under the escalators at the main entrance to
The Bentall Centre.
