in Time Zones 1,2 &3.
Time Zone 4 (Sonora) does not adopt Daylight-saving
Time.

A new decree on 6 January 2010: (Source:

of Representatives approved a proposal for northern Mexico's border cities to
share the same daylight saving schedule as the United States.
Starting from 2010, some border regions will be the same:

"En los municipios fronterizos de Tijuana y Mexicali en Baja
California; Juárez y Ojinaga en Chihuahua; Acuña y Piedras
Negras en Coahuila; Anáhuac en Nuevo León; y Nuevo Laredo,
Reynosa y Matamoros en Tamaulipas, la aplicación de este
horario estacional surtirá efecto desde las dos horas del
segundo domingo de marzo y concluirá a las dos horas del
primer domingo de noviembre.
En los municipios fronterizos que se encuentren ubicados en
la franja fronteriza norte en el territorio comprendido
entre la línea internacional y la línea paralela ubicada a
una distancia de veinte kilómetros, así como la Ciudad de
Ensenada, Baja California, hacia el interior del país, la
aplicación de este horario estacional surtirá efecto desde
las dos horas del segundo domingo de marzo y concluirá a las
dos horas del primer domingo de noviembre."

In the border towns of Tijuana and Mexicali in
Baja California, Juarez and Ojinaga in Chihuahua; Acuna and Piedras Negras in

Tamaulipas, the application of this seasonal schedule will take effect at 2am on
the second Sunday March and end at 2am on the first Sunday in November.
In border towns that are located on the northern border into the
territory between the international line and the pipeline located at a
distance of twenty miles, and as the City of Ensenada, Baja California,
into the country, the application of this seasonal schedule shall take
effect at 2am on the second Sunday in March and end at the first two
hours Sunday in November. |
