Chilean Government extends daylight saving time in 2011The winter time will be reduced to only 4 months and culminated in August. The Chilean Government decided to extend the winter schedule until 7 May 2011, postponed for the third time his term. Winter weather, meanwhile, will be reduced to just four months, and will govern in August in a move intended to make better use of sunlight, as reported in its Monday edition of the newspaper El Mercurio. Now, the winter schedule will be announced that this will last only until the third Saturday in August. The Executive intends to launch these measures as a pilot, and take a final decision by 2012.
