The Augusta State Airport, while owned by the State of Maine,
is managed and operated by the City of Augusta. Regular scheduled passenger
service to and from Boston is provided by USAirways Express, operated by Colgan
Air, an independent regional airline having its headquarters in Manassas, VA and
which operates a fleet of Beech craft B1900 and Saab SF340 to 15 cities in 9
states in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast U.S.
The Augusta Airport plays a vital role in connecting Augusta to other Maine
locations and to the Northeast.
