A favourite New York hideaway since William Randolph Hearst built the Warwick
in 1927 for his Hollywood friends, the Warwick New York has a convenient midtown
location, intimate atmosphere, and personalized service.
The Warwick New York is located in the heart of midtown within walking
distance to many of Manhattans corporate headquarter buildings, Central Park,
Fifth Avenue shopping, Broadway and Times Square, Rockefeller Center, many of
New York's famed museums and cultural institutions, and the hundreds of
restaurants Manhattan is known for.
The hotel's historical past includes some of the more prominent celebrities
that were long-time residents including Cary Grant (who resided in the hotel for
over 12 years) and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Berlin. The Beatles stayed at The Warwick
during their first trip to New York, and it was also home to Elvis Presley
whenever he was in New York City.
