Quiznos is one of the largest sub chain in the world with
more than 2.000 restaurants.
Quiznos Sub opened its first restaurant in 1981 in Denver’s Capital Hill
neighbourhood at 13th and Grant Street. Rick Schaden, CEO, bought the franchise
operation in 1991 when it consisted of 18 restaurants. Five years later, Quiznos
grew to 100 restaurants, and by the end of 2000, Quiznos had 1,000 restaurants
open. Now, in its 22nd year, Quiznos has over 2,000 restaurants.
On June 24, 2002, Quiznos Sub was named the fastest growing sandwich chain by
Nation’s Restaurant News, the industry’s leading trade magazine. Quiznos is
currently expanding at a rate of one new store every 16 hours.
